The geomagnetic station of Zhongshan Station is located in the Lazman Hill area on the southeast coast of Prydz Bay, East Antarctica, within the Antarctic Circle, 300m west by north of the main station area of Zhongshan Station in China's Antarctic. Its east side is adjacent to Mochou Lake, its northeast side is close to Wuyangang, and its west side is 200 m away from Nala Gorge Bay. The geomagnetic station at Zhongshan Station currently has an absolute observation room, recording room, and probe room. In order to resist wind and snow, they all adopt an overhead structure and are constructed of weak magnetic materials such as wood and copper. They were assembled on-site at Zhongshan Station in early 1991 and were repaired and reinforced in 2003
