It is also the longest continuous observation experiment of land surface process outside the field in the world. It has obtained a typical Eurasia hinterland The solar radiation, atmospheric boundary layer meteorological data and oasis bio meteorological data on different underlying surfaces of desert, Gobi and oasis in Heihe River Basin of arid area are collected, and the conventional meteorological and hydrological data in this area are collected, which lays a foundation for the theoretical study of land surface process in arid area. HDB (Tao Zehong and Zuo Hongchao, 1994a) collected and systematically compiled the field observation data of Heihe experiment. In the database, all observation data are divided into three categories according to the nature and purpose of observation:The first type: FOP data. It includes: (1) observation data of 5 micro meteorological stations and 5 automatic meteorological stations; (2) observation data of groundwater level of 4 well stations; (3) observation data of sand blowing, dust distribution and ozone; (4) routine observation data of 3 high altitude meteorological stations, 3 surface meteorological stations, 4 hydrological stations, some rainfall stations and underground water level stations. The second category: enhanced observation period (IOP) data. It includes: observation data of turbulence, tethered balloon, SODAR, lidar, soil water content and composition in each strengthening period (plop, iop-1, lop-2, iop-3, iop-4). The third category: special observation period data, which includes: biological meteorological observation (BOP), precipitation mechanism observation in arid areas (iop-r), turbulence contrast observation (iop-c), desert supplement observation data far away from Oasis (iop-da) and sand sample experiment obser
