The existing grid based on RPI adult male (rpiam) and RPI adult female (rpi-af) phantom deformation to form a new phantom anatomical data to show the height and weight of Chinese individuals (including 5-year-old male, 5-year-old female, 10-year-old male, 10-year-old female, 15-year-old male, 15-year-old female, adult male and adult female, named me ustc-5m, ustc-5f, ustc-10m, ustc-10f, ustc-15m, ustc-10m, ustc-10f, ustc-15m, ustc-5f, ustc-10m, ustc-10m, ustc-10f, Ustc-15f, ustc-am and ustc-af). To ensure the accuracy, more than 120 organs / tissues in each model were adjusted to match the Chinese reference parameters, and the quality error was within 0.5%. To prove its effectiveness, these new phantom were combined with the full validation model of Ge Lightspeed Pro 16 multi detector computed tomography (MDCT) scanner and GPU based Archer Monte Carlo code to calculate the organ dose generated by CT examination. Then the organ dose of adult model was compared with rpi-am and rpi-af data under the same conditions. The absorbed dose and effective dose of RPI model were lower than that of the smaller adult model of China University of science and technology. The doses of different ages and genders were compared. The study found that teenagers are exposed to more radiation than adults. This Chinese specific phantom is obviously more suitable for organ dose research for Chinese people than for western people. As has been demonstrated, data from age-specific Chinese phantom can help CT operators and designers optimize image quality and dose.
