%X In a phase 3 clinical study of preoperative radiotherapy for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), the relationship between pathological complete response (PCR) and clinical outcome in patients with locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) who received preoperative radiotherapy or chemoradiotherapy was determined. The results showed that PCR after preoperative radiotherapy or concurrent chemoradiotherapy was a good prognostic factor for locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
