AB  - China Antarctic Great Wall meteorological station (62 °. 13's, 58 °. 58'w, 10 m) was built in February 1985. It is located on King George Island in the southwest pole, with the station number of 89058. At present, the routine meteorological observation is carried out in the Great Wall meteorological station according to the requirements of the ground meteorological observation specifications, and the shift is kept during the day to monitor and record the weather changes at any time. Four regular ground meteorological observations (Beijing time 01, 07, 13, 19) are carried out every day, and meteorological telegrams are compiled one hour earlier than that in China (the same is true for the neighboring Antarctic stations). Data are transmitted to the global telecommunication system (GTS) and the world meteorological monitoring network (WWW) through Frey Meteorological Center in Chile. Observation items include: cloud, visibility, weather phenomenon, wind direction, wind speed, temperature, humidity, air pressure, sunshine, ground temperature, deep ground temperature, precipitation, etc. At present, in addition to conventional ground meteorological observation, ground radiation observation and high-resolution polar orbit meteorological satellite data receiving and processing, the station area weather forecast is also made as a scientific research service.
