This data is based on a 1:4 million river vector map of the whole country as a base map, using the upper Yellow River basin boundary as a clipping. The river vector map is a key element in extracting the basin boundary using topographic maps, and also in doing flood evolution and sediment evolution. This map is stored as an ArcGIS, .shp file and includes vector maps of the main streams and tributaries from the source area of the Yellow River to the headwaters. The river vector map is a key element in extracting the basin boundaries using topographic maps, as well as doing flood evolution and sediment evolution.
