Marine Macrobenthos refer to the organisms that live on the surface of marine basement or in the sediments and have a body length (diameter) greater than 1 mm, such as sponges, corals, shrimps, crabs and polychaetes. By using mathematical means and modern instruments, we can study the process of energy flow and material conversion among different trophic levels of marine benthic community, and then study the whole ecosystem of a specific sea area.
