本数据集以乌兰布和沙漠、库布齐沙漠、贺兰山东部、西鄂尔多斯—阴山北麓荒漠草原等为调查区，于2017-2021四年共调查点位404个，踏查点位79个。重点调查分布在研究区内的草原化灌木荒漠、半灌木-矮半灌木荒漠、灌木荒漠等植被类型。调查的主要植被群系达30种，其中主要灌木群系包括红砂群系、珍珠猪毛菜群系、柠条锦鸡儿群系等，主要草本群系包括短花针茅群系、碱韭群系、沙生针茅群系等。\n
