            "ds_abstract": "<p>  MOD10A1/MYD10A1 V6.1 Snow Cover Daily Global 500m product includes snow cover, snow albedo, partial snow cover, and quality assessment (QA) data. The snow data is based on a snow mapping algorithm using Normalized Difference Snow Index (NDSI) and other standard tests.\n<p>  MOD10A1F/MYD10A1F is a new daily \"cloud gap filling\" grid snow product produced in the V6.1 series. The algorithm for generating Terra and Aqua snow maps provides daily CGF maps of snow coverage at a resolution of 500 meters. When there are cloud observations on the same day, CGF daily maps are generated by retaining non cloud observations from the previous day. The data products include CGF snow maps, cloud persistence maps, basic QA and observation markers, as well as NDSI snow maps from corresponding daily MOD10A1 products.\n<p><p> &amp; emsp; The MODIS/Terra 8-day L3 Global 500 meter Grid (MOD10A2/MYD10A2) dataset contains data fields for the maximum snow cover range within an 8-day composite period, as well as a compressed layered data format - Earth Observation System of Things (HDF-EOS) - based snowfall observation chronology and corresponding metadata. MOD10A2/MYD10A2 consists of 500m resolution data blocks measuring 1200km x 1200km, which are gridded in a sine map projection. The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) snow data is based on a snow mapping algorithm using Normalized Difference Snow Index (NDSI) and other standard tests.</p></p></p></p>",
