AB  - The data study area includes 12 provinces and 1 city in northern China, namely Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Xizang Autonomous Region, Qinghai Province, Gansu Province, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Liaoning Province, Heilongjiang Province, Jilin Province, Hebei Province, Shaanxi Province, Shanxi Province and Beijing City. The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of climate change and increasing CO2 concentrations on carbon storage in the arid and semi-arid regions of northern China, providing a scientific basis for understanding the carbon cycle of ecosystems in northern China and developing corresponding ecological protection strategies. The data includes total carbon pool, vegetation carbon pool, soil carbon pool, and litter carbon pool.
