The purpose of this survey is to characterize the subsurface structure at shallow depths, thereby providing geophysical data for studies on the distribution of underground ice and the characteristics of underground media in permafrost regions. Field observations were conducted using the RK-GPR series of ground penetrating radar systems, along with the QGPR (2DGPRMonitor) software for data acquisition. Two antenna frequencies were used: 100 MHz and 400 MHz. At four locations—Hua Shi Xia, Hela Village, Shuang Cha Gou, and Maduo Township—one survey line was deployed at each site. The length of each survey line was generally 100 meters; however, the survey line in Maduo Township was 40 meters long, with a measurement accuracy of 2 meters. The dataset primarily contains raw radar echo records, stored in.GPRD format. File names include information about the sampling location, such as “Hua Shi Xia.GPRD” and “Hua Shi Xia.rtk”. The coordinates of the survey points were obtained using GPS measurements. The study area is located in the northeastern part of the Tibetan Plateau, within the Yellow River source region. The geographical boundaries are approximately 95°50′E to 98°55′E and 33°32′N to 35°35′N. The time sampling parameters vary between different survey lines, and can be obtained from the corresponding raw data. This dataset uses dual-frequency ground penetrating radar for observation, while retaining the original echo records. It can be used for radar data processing, identification of shallow subsurface structures, and related geophysical studies involving permafrost and underground ice.Users should read and analyze the data in conjunction with the collection parameters specified in the original data files. It is important to note that the time sampling parameters vary between different survey lines. The
