From 2017 to 2022, six consecutive years of sampling work were conducted in this permafrost basin. In six years of continuous sampling work, a total of 554 precipitation samples, 2402 lake/pond samples, 675 stream water samples, 102 upper frozen soil layer water samples, and 19 sub frozen soil layer water samples were collected. Importantly, 355 ground ice samples were collected from 17 boreholes and 4 samples were collected from 2 thawing collapse profiles. Obtained stable isotopes (δ 18 О, δ D, and d-excess). This is the first comprehensive dataset of permafrost regions on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, which helps to understand hydrological processes under permafrost degradation in Asian water towers.
