TY - Data T1 - Carbon and Nitrogen Dataset for Permafrost Ground Ice and Associated Samples A1 - Zhang Yulan A1 - Gao Tanguang A1 - Zhang Hongyu DO - 10.12072/ncdc.db7829.2026 PY - 2026 DA - 2026-10-12 PB - National Cryosphere Desert Data Center AB - This dataset collects carbon and nitrogen composition data from underground ice and different surface types soil samples in permafrost areas, including two sampling points: HDS06 and HDS01, with a total of 29 samples and 325 data values. Among them, the HDS06 sampling point contains 12 underground ice samples at different sampling levels, and contains 3 indicators: total carbon (TC), total organic carbon (TOC) and inorganic carbon (IC), with a total of 36 data values; The HDS01 sampling point contains 17 soil samples, covering frost-heaving grass mounds, flat meadows, exposed areas, soil rafts, slumping areas, marginal areas and control areas. Each sample contains 8 carbon indicators and 9 nitrogen indicators, with a total of 289 data values. The data is stored in Excel format and the unit of measurement is g/kg or mg/kg, which can provide basic data for studying the carbon content of underground ice in permafrost areas and the carbon and nitrogen changes related to slumping disturbances. This dataset contains sample data from permafrost areas from two sampling points, with a total of 325 data values. The first sampling point is located at 100.7155° east longitude and 37.44687° north latitude. Underground ice samples are collected at intervals of 10 cm or 20 cm to measure their total carbon, organic carbon and inorganic carbon contents, and a total of 36 data values are obtained. The second sampling point is located at 100.7065° east longitude and 37.46294° north latitude. A total of 17 samples were collected. The sample numbers are all prefixed with HDS01. Among them, P0 contains 2 samples, and P1-P3 each contains 5 samples. 17 carbon and nitrogen indicators were measured for each sample, including 8 carbon indicators and 9 nitrogen indicators, and a total of 289 data values were obtained, with the unit of measurement being g/kg or mg/kg.
