It provides snow drought event-identification products, occurrence-frequency products, and associated intermediate datasets for the period 1950–2023. The dataset is derived from ERA5-Land reanalysis data, organized on a regular 0.1° × 0.1° latitude–longitude grid, and uses the hydrological year as the annual statistical unit. A complete data-processing chain is provided, extending from daily meteorological forcing data and hydrological-year maximum snow water equivalent to climatological reference fields, snow drought event identification, and occurrence-frequency products. In addition to the final snow drought occurrence-frequency products, the dataset preserves key intermediate data required for result reproduction and methodological traceability. The released data comprise 900 monthly files of daily ERA5-Land data; one gridded file containing hydrological-year maximum snow water equivalent for 1950–2023; one climatological reference-field file for 1950–1979; five gridded files containing hydrological-year snow drought event-identification results; five NetCDF files of annual regional snow drought occurrence frequency; five files of long-term gridded snow drought occurrence frequency; and one vector dataset representing the national boundary of Tajikistan, consisting of four files (.shp, .shx, .dbf, and .prj). Together, these files form a hierarchical data system linking basic meteorological variables to type-specific snow drought occurrence-frequency products and support annual analysis, grid-cell statistics, regional aggregation, spatial mapping, and cross-dataset verification. The dataset is suitable for a range of applications, including analysis of the spatiotemporal patterns of snow drought, type-specific risk assessment, evaluation of snowmelt-runoff responses, investigation o
