The alpine grassland is the most important vegetation type in the Yellow River source area. In 2005, the Maqu Observatory was established in the Maqu grassland of the Yellow River source area to monitor climate and hydrological conditions and their evolution. This dataset consists of 10 years of observation data from Maqu Station, covering the period from 2010 to 2019, including meteorological elements, radiation, energy exchange, and soil water and heat transfer characteristics data.
