%0 Dataset %T Late Quaternary Loess-Paleosol Elemental Composition Dataset from the Northeastern Tibetan Plateau (2012–2019) %J National Cryosphere Desert Data Center %I National Cryosphere Desert Data Center(www.ncdc.ac.cn) %U http://www.ncdc.ac.cn/portal/metadata/7a5486f7-1729-4ce1-8387-7275befbd2d1 %W NCDC %R 10.12072/ncdc.NIEER.db0129.2021 %A Zeng Fangming %A Xue Hongpan %K Loess;northern Qinghai Tibet Plateau;paleosol %X In order to study the material sources of Late Quaternary loess-paleosols and the environmental change processes recorded in the northeastern Tibetan Plateau, samples of loess, paleosols, and wind-formed sands were collected in a larger spatial area of the study area from 2012 to 2016, and samples of loess, paleosols, and wind-formed sands were collected in September 2013 from a sheep breeding farm on the eastern shore of Qinghai Lake (ZYC), and in August 2019 from Guncha County (GC) and Hot Water Village (RS), both on the northern shore of Qinghai Lake ) collected loess profile samples. After standard XRF tests, a dataset of Late Quaternary loess-paleosol elemental compositions was obtained for the northeastern Tibetan Plateau.The dataset comprises the following components:(1) Elemental composition data of the <75 μm fraction in loess-paleosol sequences from the northeastern Tibetan Plateau (ELE_NETP_LP);(2) Elemental composition data of the ZYC loess-paleosol profile (ELE_NETP_ZYC); (3)Elemental composition data of the GC loess-paleosol profile (ELE_NETP_GC);(4) Elemental composition data of the RS loess-paleosol profile (ELE_NETP_RS).The dataset is archived in Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) format and provides critical data support for investigating the provenance of loess-paleosol sequences and reconstructing environmental change processes recorded in these deposits across the northeastern Tibetan Plateau.
