TY - Data T1 - The soil-water characteristic curves of different loess under different temperature conditions A1 - ren jun ping PY - 2026 DA - 2026-05-21 PB - National Cryosphere Desert Data Center AB - This dataset contains soil water characteristic curve measurement data of four typical loess types (Lanzhou, Suide, Guyuan, Tianshui) on the Loess Plateau at different temperatures (such as 0 ℃, 10 ℃, 30 ℃, 40 ℃, 60 ℃). Four types of loess ring cutter samples were prepared by static compaction method, and the soil water characteristic curves (i.e. the relationship curve between the moisture content of loess soil samples and their matrix suction or total suction) of each loess soil sample were measured at different temperatures based on filter paper method. This dataset characterizes the water holding capacity of four types of loess in an unsaturated state and is one of the basic constitutive relationships of loess. This dataset can be used to interpret the physical and mechanical behavior of different types of loess on the Loess Plateau. The first column in the dataset is the loess type; The second column shows the measurement branch (dehumidification or moisture absorption) for testing temperature and soil water characteristic curve; The third to sixth columns are the loess soil sample test group, dry density, initial moisture content, and porosity ratio; The seventh to tenth columns are the mass moisture content, volume moisture content, matric suction, and total suction of loess soil samples.
