The experiment set up natural precipitation control (CK) and drought treatment (Dro) with a 50% reduction in precipitation. Field plant community surveys were carried out every year from April 15 to May 15. A 1 m × 1 m sample square was set up in the test area to investigate and record the plant species appearing in the sample square. The data mainly include year, plot, precipitation treatment, duplicate block, plant Chinese name, Latin scientific name, family, life form, species occurrence, coverage, density and relative coverage, etc., and record the latitude and longitude information of the sample plot. This dataset can be used to analyze the impact of precipitation reduction on desert plant species composition, dominant species and community structure, and provide basic data for studying the response of plant communities in arid areas to climate change.This dataset contains species composition data of desert plant communities under natural precipitation control (CK) and 50% precipitation reduction (Dro) treatments from 2024 to 2025.
