TY - Data T1 - Data set of height change of 0 ℃ layer with 100km resolution in Qaidam area (1985-2018) A1 - zhu gaofeng DO - 10.12072/ncdc.Hydro.db2423.2022 PY - 2022 DA - 2022-09-29 PB - National Cryosphere Desert Data Center AB - The 0°C isotherm height is a significant characteristic layer in atmospheric sounding, reflecting the thermal conditions of the middle and lower troposphere. The rise and fall of this layer influence the surface elevation of the 0°C isotherm in mountainous regions, thereby affecting the freeze-thaw processes of water in these areas.By analyzing upper-air data from 39 high-altitude observation stations in western China since 1979 (with some stations having later observation records), including standard-level heights and temperatures, the summer (June-August) 0°C isotherm height was calculated. Using Kriging interpolation and regression analysis, the variation of the summer 0°C isotherm height in the Qaidam Basin from 1985 to 2018 was derived. Additionally, a fishnet tool was employed to statistically assess the 0°C isotherm height change per 100 km grid.
