The observations were conducted across four key sites: the Integrated Observation Plot of the Desert–Oasis Farmland Ecosystem at the Linze Inland River Basin Research Station (100°07′51″E, 39°20′56.5″N), the Auxiliary Observation Plot of the Desert–Oasis Farmland Ecosystem (100°07′52.8″E, 39°20′56.6″N), the Old Oasis Farmland Survey Site (100°07′51″E, 39°19′14″N), and the New Oasis Farmland Survey Site (100°08′35″E, 39°20′08″N).Biological monitoring primarily includes crop species composition and population density, leaf area index (LAI) and aboveground biomass, root biomass within the plow layer (typically 0–30 cm depth), as well as phenological development, morphological traits, and grain yield of major crops—specifically maize (Zea mays L.) and wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). These measurements support long-term assessment of agroecosystem structure, function, and productivity under contrasting oasis development stages and management practices.
