The Yangtze River Delta in China is a typical East Asian monsoon region, where land atmosphere interactions have become diverse and complex due to rapid urbanization and agricultural development. To understand the impact of various land cover changes on land atmosphere interactions in the Yangtze River Delta region, we conducted long-term (2011-2019) comprehensive observation activities at four sites of two typical surface types (cultivated land and suburban areas), including 30 minute resolution meteorological variables (temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed, and direction), surface radiation flux, turbulent heat flux, and CO2flux. Dataset analysis shows that the radiation components, latent heat flux, sensible heat flux, soil heat flux, and CO2flux at the four locations exhibit seasonal and diurnal variations. There are significant differences in surface radiation flux among the four locations. For the whole year, the main consumer of net radiation in two farming sites is latent heat flux. On the contrary, in two locations in the suburbs, latent heat dominates from April to November, while sensible heat dominates in other months. Our current work provides convincing evidence that this dataset has potential in multiple research areas, including studying land atmosphere interactions, improving boundary layer parameterization schemes, evaluating remote sensing algorithms, validating carbon flux modeling and inversion, and developing climate models for typical East Asian monsoon regions.
