TY - Data T1 - Leaf area index LAI for the Weihe River Basin MCD15A2 (2002-2020) A1 - Zhang Yaonan DO - 10.12072/ncdc.WRiver.db0036.2021 PY - 2021 DA - 2021-11-05 PB - National Cryosphere Desert Data Center AB - The leaf area index (LAI), also known as the leaf area coefficient, characterizes the absorption and interception of light and the growth of vegetation, and is usually defined as the sum of the surface area of vegetation leaves per unit area. Because this index can reflect the sparseness of vegetation leaves and the growth of vegetation in the study area, it is extremely important to accurately obtain LAI. In the acquisition process of LAI, remote sensing information technology is widely used because of its significant advantages such as real-time dynamic and effective monitoring of vegetation characteristics and short operation cycle, which lays the foundation for the effective research of vegetation biochemical parameters.
