AB  - The data set of the date and intensity of plum entry in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River (1951-2020) was developed by meteorological operations or scientific research institutions based on the Meiyu characteristics and daily meteorological observation data compiled by the National Climate Center. It aims to support the Meiyu variation rules, flood and flood forecast and disaster prevention and reduction research in flood season. In production, a standardized discrimination method is adopted to comprehensively identify the Meiyu process based on daily precipitation, temperature and location of the subtropical high, and extract factors such as plum entry date, plum entry date, length of the Meiyu period, and total precipitation. The data can be widely used in fields such as climate change trend analysis, plum rain season prediction, water resources assessment, agricultural meteorological services and research on the formation mechanism of abnormal plum rain years.
