The component temperatures were retrieved using the FuSVeT algorithm based on MODIS land surface temperature (LST) products and ERA5-Land auxiliary data (Liu et al., 2025, Remote Sensing of Environment, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.rse.2024.114564). The dataset contains 504 monthly GeoTIFF files (UInt16, scale factor = 0.02, missing data = 65535, unit = K), organized into 84 compressed packages by year, half-year period (01–06 and 07–12), and component (soil/vegetation).The dataset covers global land areas excluding Antarctica and can be used for studies of land–atmosphere interactions, surface energy balance partitioning, and ecosystem thermodynamics.
