AB  - The degradation of permafrost over the years will weaken the stability of the foundation, exacerbate material migration and thermal melting disasters, threaten the safety of engineering infrastructure, increase maintenance costs, shorten service life, and bring significant economic losses. This dataset is derived from the research results on economic damage caused by permafrost degradation in the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, published in Communications Earth & Environment in 2022 (DOI: 10.1038/s43247-022-00568-6). It includes raster data of future permafrost risk levels in the Qinghai Tibet Plateau with a spatial resolution of 1km, as well as raw statistical data corresponding to Figure 2, Figure 3, and Figure 4 of the paper.
