The research area is located in the Populus euphratica forest in Ejina Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Based on the different heights and breast diameters of the Populus euphratica forest, samples were selected to install TDP (Thermal Dissection SAP Flow Velocity Probe). A domestically produced TDP pin type thermal diffusion stem flow meter, model TDP30, was used. The sampling sites are TDP1 and TDP2, located near the Mixed Forest Station and Populus euphratica Station, respectively. The height of the sample trees from high to low is TDP2, TDP1, and the diameter at breast height from large to small is TDP1, TDP2, representing the entire area for measuring trunk sap flow. The installation height of the probe is 1.3 meters, and the installation orientation is towards the east and west of the sample tree.
