Nutrients and chlorophyll a are important components of marine ecosystems. In December 2011, samples were collected from 10 stations near the Great Wall Station, including Great Wall Bay and Adelaide Bay, and analyzed for nutrients, dissolved oxygen, chlorophyll a, etc. This dataset includes nutrient data from the Great Wall Bay in Antarctica in 1985, 1988, 1994, 1999, and 2000. Chlorophyll is a type of green pigment found in higher plants and all other organisms capable of photosynthesis. Marine nutrients are the mineral salts that affect the yield of phytoplankton and are most ingested by them, including active silicates, active phosphates and nitrates, nitrites, and ammonium salts. Nutrients generally refer to inorganic nitrogen, phosphorus, and silicon in seawater
