Elmer/Ice is an open-source finite element software designed for modeling ice sheets, glaciers, and ice flows using advanced finite element methods. This software achieves its goals through the following functions: • Using advanced finite element methods to simulate ice flow • Solve the ice flow control equations for complex 3D geometric shapes • Multi physics field coupling for handling ice water heat processes • Detailed simulation of complex geometric regions in glaciers and ice sheets • Study the coupling process between ice flow and thermodynamics
