Researcher Yu Youhua delivered a speech on behalf of the National Glacier, Permafrost and Desert Scientific Data Center. He pointed out that scientific data is both a national strategic resource and a new factor of production. In the new development era, data workers have moved from behind the scenes to the front desk for the first time. Scientific data centers have also become a new scientific and technological platform and an important force supporting the transformation of scientific research paradigm. Long-term planning, consensus building, and coordinated advancement are urgently needed. The establishment of the Yellow River Water Ecology Sub-center will further improve the data resource system of the National Glacier, Frozen Soil and Desert Scientific Data Center, promote the convergence of water ecological scientific data resources in the Yellow River Basin and surrounding areas, and improve the integration efficiency, sharing level and application service capabilities of water ecological scientific data in the Yellow River Basin.

Later, researcher Yan Youhua gave a special report on the development situation of scientific data, the construction process and effectiveness of the National Glacier, Frozen Soil and Desert Scientific Data Center. Professor Li Xuejun of Henan Normal University introduced the construction and operation management plan of the sub-center data platform.

In the specially invited academic report, Academician Wang Jiayao took the title of "Yellow River Brain" Serving the "Protection" and "Development" of the Watershed "to deeply analyze the core role of digital intelligence in ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin; China Academy of Sciences Zhang Yaonan, researcher of the Northwest Institute of Ecological Environment Resources, China Academy of Sciences, and researcher Gu Xiaohong, Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, respectively, made special sharing on the development trend of the National Science Data Center and the protection of lake ecosystems.
