According to CCTV news reports, Zhouqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located at the intersection of the edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the Qinling Mountains. It is an area with high incidence of geological disasters such as landslides and mudslides across the country. On January 3, 2026, the local government has launched a fourth-level geological disaster prevention response. As of January 4, monitoring data showed that the cumulative maximum width of cracks in the landslide body reached 750 mm, and the landslide displacement continued to increase; all 50 households directly threatened by the disaster had been relocated and resettled urgently. At present, real-time monitoring and early warning of landslide masses, emergency rescue material allocation and personnel standby are continuing to advance.

The National Glacier, Frozen Soil and Desert Scientific Data Center (hereinafter referred to as the Data Center) collects and prepares basic geographical data, satellite remote sensing data, population data, topography and other scientific Incident Response Service data based on the disaster situation. Up to now, 24 service data sets have been opened and provided, with a service data volume of approximately 21GB. The "Scientific Data Incident Response Service Service for Landslide Disaster in Lijie Town, Zhouqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province (20260103)" system has been released. The system provides data visual display, interoperability and data download functions. For use by relevant emergency, rescue and research departments.

The follow-up data center will continue to further collect and organize various data resources in the disaster area and gradually release them through the data center platform for use by relevant emergency, rescue and research departments.
