Based on the regional vegetation data, the status and distribution of regional vegetation were studied. Using TM, MSS satellite images of different scales in the mid-1980s and early 1990s, as well as various electronic geographic data files accumulated by the Research Institute, the ecological background database of Xinjiang is constructed, which reflects the basic natural resources of 1:4 million vegetation in Xinjiang abundantly and intuitively. The data covers the whole region of Xinjiang and is obtained by means of Lambert cone projection.

Scan vectorization and recoding. The coding design of vegetation resource database in Xinjiang is based on the vegetation resource distribution map (1:4 million) of Xinjiang, using the vegetation classification system of the map, according to the annotation of the map spots, combined with the coding principle to design.
