数据为塔里木河流域10万沙漠分布图,本数据以2000年TM影像为数据源,进行解译、提取、修编,利用遥感与地理信息系统技术结合1:10万比例尺成图要求,对沙漠、沙地和砾质戈壁进行专题制图。数据属性表:area(面积)、perimeter(周长)、ashm_(序列码)、class(沙漠编码)、ashm_id(沙漠编码)其中沙漠编码如下:流动沙地 2341010、半流动沙地 2341020、半固定沙地 2341030、戈壁 2342000、盐碱地 2343000.

Paper abstract:Large quantities of dust particles are emitted from China’s arid and semi-arid regions, and their morphology and composition exert significant impacts on climate and environmental assessments from regional to global scales. To accurately characterize these effects, information at the single-particle level is essential, yet systematic records of dust particles in source regions remain scarce. Here, we present the Dust Morphology and Composition from China’s Source Regions (DMC-China)** dataset, comprising 54 samples from typical China’s dust source regions and covering diverse surface soil types, including gobi soil, sand dune, river sediment, desertified grassland, and saline land. We analyzed the morphology and composition of 529,062 single particles generated from surface soils with the Portable In Situ Wind Erosion Laboratory (PI-SWERL) and characterized them using computer-controlled scanning electron microscopy (CCSEM-EDX). This dataset underwent rigorous quality control, including unit harmonization, error checking, and outlier detection, and is provided in accessible XLSX format. This dataset provides source-region profiles of nascent dust particles relevant to long-distance transport, serving as a resource for dust emission modeling, aerosol–climate interactions, and environmental and health assessments.
