This dataset consists of 1: 700000 land cover data from Alxa League, Inner Mongolia, Northwest China in 2005. This data adopts a hierarchical land cover classification system. The first level of the classification system is consistent with the IPCC system, with a total of 6 categories (forest land, grassland, wetland, cultivated land, artificial surface, etc.), and the second level uses 38 categories with globally unified codes generated by FAO's LCCS

The main data sources include: 1. Land use data from the 1950s; 2. Land satellite precise correction of false color composite images by county during the same period as land use data; 3. Auxiliary data including 1:500000 grassland resource map (vector), 1:1000000 soil type map (vector), 1:1000000 vegetation type map (scan), etc p>
Based on the eCognition software platform, an object-oriented classification method is adopted p>
