This topic is led by Professor Liang Cunzhu of Inner Mongolia University, and studied jointly with the Institute of Botany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing Normal University, Inner Mongolia Agricultural University, Ningxia University, Northwest Institute of Ecological Environment and Resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Inner Mongolia Mengcao Ecological Environment (Group) Co., Ltd., Institute of Agricultural Environment and Sustainable Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and other units. In response to the serious degradation of grasslands in northern China, the weakening of ecological security and grass and animal husbandry production functions, and the underdevelopment of ecological animal husbandry and ecological industries, research and demonstration of comprehensive management technologies and policies for desertification and degraded grasslands are being carried out. Through the restoration and sustainable utilization of degraded grasslands, a win-win or multi win situation for environmental improvement and people's prosperity can be achieved.
