This data set is used to investigate plant communities by field sampling methods in 2012, 2015, 2019 and 2020, and provides basic data for the study of grassland plant communities in arid areas of Northwest China.
Attribute information includes: quadrat number, survey date, altitude, species name, vegetative seedling height, reproductive seedling height, number of plant clusters, fresh weight, dry weight, total biomass and cluster width.
The sampling points of each grassland type are spaced at an interval of about 50 km. The sampling points are randomly selected at open terrain, and the geographic location information of each sampling point is recorded by GPS. Each sample point is set with 3 10m × For 10 m large quadrat, five 1 m large quadrats shall be set at each corner and center of the large quadrat × 1 m small quadrat.
