The one kilometer vegetation functional map of China is based on the climate rules of land cover and vegetation functional transformation proposed by Bonan et al., 2002, which transforms the land cover map of miclcover (ran Youhua et al., 2009; ran et al., 2012). Miclcover land cover map is the latest land cover data released by MODIS 2001 land cover product (mod12q1), which integrates the 2000 China 1:100000 land use data, the vegetation type of China Vegetation Atlas (1:1 million), China 1:100000 glacier distribution map, China 1:1 million swamp wet map, and the IGBP land cover classification system. The evaluation shows that it may be the most accurate land cover map on 1km scale in China. The climate data, which was developed by He Jie et al. (2010) and has a spatial resolution of 0.1 degree and a temporal resolution of 3 hours in 1981-2008, is the climate data with the highest temporal and spatial resolution in China. The data integrates the Princeton land surface model driving data (Sheffield et al., 2006), gewex-srb radiation data (Pinker et al., 2003), TRMM Precipitation data of 3b42 and Aphrodite and observation data of 740 meteorological stations of China Meteorological Administration. According to the evaluation results of ranyouhua et al. (2010), glc2000 has relatively high accuracy in the current global land cover data set, and there is no mixed forest in its classification system. Therefore, the mixed forest in the land cover map of mickcover has been replaced by the information in glc2000 (bartholome and belward, 2005; Xu Wenting et al., 2005). The data can be used in the study of land surface process model.

Referring to the global vegetation functional classification system, according to the needs of the model, the land cover type and the vegetation functional type are considered together to determine the classification system of the data.
The evaluation shows that it may be the most accurate land cover map on 1km scale in China.
