This data includes the annual mass balance and cumulative mass balance of xiaodongkemadi glacier from 1989 to 2016, which is mainly obtained through long-term field positioning observation based on the flower pole / snow pit method. The standard established by the world glacier monitoring service (WGMs) was adopted. Artificial field observation is adopted. The observation time is mainly concentrated in summer, from May to September every year. The ablation situation is observed on the glacier regularly (usually once a month), and the fallen flower poles are interpolated in time to ensure the continuity of observation data.

The data acquisition is mainly based on the flower pole / snow pit method, which is obtained through long-term field positioning observation.
This data sheet is manually entered by a specially assigned person according to the record book. (1) Algorithm and model introduction: according to the observation of the material balance flower pole point and snow pit in a specific period, the material balance of the observation point in the observation period is calculated, and then the calculated single point material balance is drawn on the large-scale topographic map to determine the material balance in the corresponding elevation zone of the ice surface, and then the material balance of the monitoring glacier is obtained.
To ensure that the observation data of each flower point is complete and the information is accurate.
