This data set is the runoff and sediment observation data of a runoff station in wangmaogou watershed from 1991 to 2000. Through the water level observation and sediment sampling of the runoff station, the runoff and sediment yield are calculated. The data set includes flow section diagram of runoff station, measured discharge result table, extraction table of flood hydrological elements, successive flood test result table, daily average discharge table, daily average sediment concentration table and daily average sediment transport rate table. Manual timing observation
1. The water level observation method of runoff station is: read the water gauge number of the flow measurement building on the flow measurement section. In non flood season, 8:00 and 20:00 respectively are observed once a day. If there is rainfall, observe twice at 8:00 and 20:00 respectively when the daily water level changes slowly; observe four times at 2:00, 8:00, 14:00 and 20:00 respectively when the daily water level changes greatly or there are slow peaks and valleys. During the flood season, when the water level changes violently, it shall be observed in multiple of 6 minutes. 2. Flow measurement method of wangmaozhuang runoff station: adopt the calibrated natural section observation and the calibrated push flow formula for flow calculation. 3. Sediment sampling and treatment: the sediment in the flow measurement section is sampled by the thalweg buoy method, and the number of sediment sampling depends on the number of changes in the flood water level. In order to control the change of sediment concentration, the number of sampling is increased during the flood peak. The sample was treated by displacement method.
Manual observation shall be conducted by professional technicians; during data entry, four levels of manual verification shall be conducted, including tabulation, primary calibration, re calibration and audit, so as to ensure data quality.
