This dataset is the runoff and sediment observation data of Wangmaogou watershed runoff station in 2024. By observing the water level of the runoff station measurement section, taking sediment samples, and calculating the runoff and sediment volume during runoff production. The data includes the flow section diagram of Wangmaogou runoff station, the extracted table of flood hydrological elements, the results of successive flood tests, the daily average flow table, the daily average sediment concentration table, and the daily average sediment transport rate table. The situation of the runoff station can be found in the "Explanation of the Situation in Wangmaogou Basin in 2024".

Manual timing observation
1. The water level observation method of runoff station is: wangmaogou runoff station uses the water gauge on the side wall of the building to measure the water level. In the non flood season, the water level is observed once a day at 8:00 and 20:00 in case of rainfall; the observation is conducted four times at 2:00, 8:00, 14:00 and 20:00 when the daily water level changes greatly or has a slow peak and valley. When the water level changes violently in flood season, the observation shall be made in multiples of 6 minutes.
2.The flow measurement method of wangmaozhuang runoff station: the calibrated natural section observation by manual arrangement is adopted, and the calibrated flow formula is used for flow calculation.
3.Sediment sampling and treatment: the midstream buoy method is used to sample the sediment at the flow measurement section. The frequency of sediment sampling depends on the frequency of flood water level change, and the sampling frequency is increased to control the change of sediment concentration at flood peak. The sample was treated by displacement method.
Manual observation shall be conducted by professional technicians; during data entry, four levels of manual verification shall be conducted, including tabulation, primary calibration, re calibration and audit, so as to ensure data quality.
