Datasets description

This dataset includes runoff and sediment observation data from the Jiuyuangou watershed runoff station in 2024. Through water level observation at the runoff station's measuring section, sediment sampling, and calculation of runoff and sediment yield during runoff production. The data includes the flow measurement cross-section map of the Jiuyuangou watershed, an excerpt table of flood hydrological elements, a table of successive flood test results, a table of daily average flow, a table of daily average sediment concentration, and a table of daily average sediment transport rate. The situation of the runoff station can be found in the "Explanation of the Jiuyuangou Basin in 2024"

Manual timed observation

Data processing method

The water level observation method of runoff station is: read the water gauge number of the flow measurement building on the flow measurement section. In non flood season, 8:00 and 20:00 respectively are observed once a day. If there is rainfall, observe twice at 8:00 and 20:00 respectively when the daily water level changes slowly; observe four times at 2:00, 8:00, 14:00 and 20:00 respectively when the daily water level changes greatly or there are slow peaks and valleys. During the flood season, when the water level changes violently, it shall be observed in multiple of 6 minutes.

Flow measurement method of channel diameter flow station: when the water level is higher than the triangular channel, the buoy method is used to measure the flow in the rectangular spillway, and the buoy coefficient is based on the buoy test results of huangweizizhou runoff test station.
Flow measurement method of wangmaozhuang runoff station: adopt the calibrated natural section observation and the calibrated push flow formula for flow calculation.
Sediment sampling and treatment: the sediment in the flow measurement section is sampled by the thalweg buoy method, and the number of sediment sampling depends on the number of changes in the flood water level. In order to control the change of sediment concentration, the number of sampling is increased during the flood peak. The sample was treated by displacement method.

Data quality description

Manual observation shall be conducted by professional technicians; during data entry, four levels of manual verification shall be conducted, including tabulation, primary calibration, re calibration and audit, so as to ensure data quality.
