This dataset consists of three main parts: website data (GNIR data, http://nucleus.iaea.org/wiser/explore Water isotope website, http://wateriso.utah.edu/waterisotopes )Actual measurement data and reference literature data. This dataset covers 22389 surface water sampling points across seven continents. Since 2015, the Shiyang River Basin in the arid northwest region of China has implemented an ecological hydrological observation system, systematically collecting stable isotope data of surface water, which constitutes the main source of measured data. The improvement of isotope data v1.1 mainly lies in removing some duplicate and erroneous data.

Laboratory analysis and measurement.
Ensure data accuracy and validate the raw data using LIMA. Only include data that has passed software testing; Otherwise, the analysis will be redone. In addition, all isotope data has been reviewed to ensure clear information on longitude, latitude, sampling time, and isotopes. Outliers and duplicate data have been removed.
