This data set is the Lai product of 1 km in Heihe River Basin from 2000 to 2012. Data details are as follows: Image format: TIF Image size: about 1m per scene Time range: 2000-2012 Time resolution: 8 days Spatial resolution: 1km Leaf area index (LAI) refers to the ratio of the total leaf area of plants to the land area in a certain land area. It is one of the most basic parameters to describe the canopy structure of vegetation. Lai controls various biological and physical processes of vegetation, such as photosynthesis, respiration, transpiration, carbon cycle and rainfall interception. It is an important structural parameter in land surface processes. Lai can be retrieved from satellite remote sensing data.
