Based on the MODIS MCD15A2.005 dataset, the segmented images covering the Qilian Mountains region were processed using MRT tools and Python language code for batch stitching, projection conversion, cropping, etc., to generate MODIS MCD15A2 LAI data for the Qilian Mountains region from 2002 to 2014. The spatial resolution of this dataset is 1 km, and the temporal resolution is 8 days.

The data source of this dataset is MODIS MCD15A2 v005 version data, involving segmented image grids of h25v04, h25v04, and h26v05, with a spatial resolution of 1 km, synthesized every 8 days.
(1) Trial run the MRT tool to generate prm files for MCD15A2 LAI data stitching and projection conversion, and output the projection as albers projection (25, 47, 105, WGS1984, False'Esting: 4000000) with a spatial resolution of 1000 m. (2) Generate a batch file using MATLAB language program to call the MRT tool and run it; (3) Utilize the vector boundary of Qilian Mountains, use Python batch cropping and other steps, and finally output and save in GeoTIFF format.
This dataset has the same quality as the source dataset MODIS MCD15A2.005. The effective range of data is 0-100, the scaling factor is 0.01, and the filling value range is 249-255, where 249 represents "unclassified" or undetermined land cover types; 250 represents the land cover type of urban/built-up areas; 251 represents the land type of "permanent" wetland/flooded swamp; 252 represents land covered with snow or ice year-round; 253 represents barren and sparse vegetation (such as rocks, tundra, desert, etc.); 254 represents permanent saline alkali land or inland water coverage areas; 255 indicates that when the source data MOD09 and other surface reflection infrared and near-infrared band data used for calculating MCD15A2 data have fill values, the corresponding MCD15A2 pixel is filled with 255, and some are filled with 254.
