Vegetation leaf area index (LAI), also known as leaf area coefficient, can characterize the absorption and interception of light by vegetation and the growth of vegetation. It is usually defined as the sum of vegetation leaf surface area contained in unit area. Because this index can reflect the density of vegetation leaves and the growth status of vegetation in the study area, it is very important to accurately obtain Lai. In the acquisition process of Lai, remote sensing information technology is widely used because of its significant advantages such as real-time dynamic and effective monitoring of vegetation characteristics and short operation cycle. This technology lays a foundation for the effective study of vegetation biochemical parameters.

(1) Test run the MRT tool to generate the PRM file of mcd15a2 Lai data splicing and projection conversion, with a spatial resolution of 500m;
(2) Using MATLAB language program to generate batch file calling MRT tool and run it;
(3) Using the vector boundary of Jinghe River Basin, python batch cutting and other steps are used to store in TIF format.
