This dataset is based on SRTM (2000) and ZY3-02 (2020) data, and uses DEM data from different periods to obtain the surface elevation changes of glaciers in the Hongzha River Basin in the Karakoram Mountains region. From 2000 to 2020, the surface elevation of glaciers in the Hongzha River Basin of the Karakoram Mountains showed a significant thinning state, with an average change of -5.48 ± 0.39 m. This dataset provides basic data for water resource assessment and glacier hydrological research in the Karakoram Mountains region.

1. SRTM SRTM DEM data with a spatial resolution of 1 ", download link: http://imagico.de/map/demsearch.php .
2. Three dimensional image pairs Procure front and rear view images with a ground resolution of 3.5 meters to form a stereo image pair and extract DEM.
1. DEM extraction: Relative extraction of DEM from three-dimensional data
2. DEM registration: Configuration between different DEMs. Formula: dh=a * cos (b - φ) * tan (α)+dh ̅
Through DEM registration, the elevation difference in non glacial areas decreased from 8.76m to 0.76m.
