This data set is the precipitation observation data of 14 rainfall stations in Nanxiaohegou basin from 2001 to 2010. SM1 ordinary rain gauge and dsj-2 siphon self recording rain gauge with caliber of 20cm are used for parallel observation (some years of different rainfall stations are missing). In case of failure of self recording rain gauge, ordinary rain gauge shall be used instead. The data include the daily precipitation observation data of 14 rainfall stations in Nanxiaohegou basin, including fanjiagou, fangjiagou, guojiazui, HeJiazhuang, Lujiapu, majiaji, nanzuo, shuaijiapu, wangtie, Lijiazhuang, xiasiyao, Yangjiagou, dongzhuanggou, and 18 Mu Tai, and the maximum precipitation data of each period (extracted by minute and by hour, table 3 by hour) Table 4 extracts by minutes.

It mainly observes the beginning and ending time of precipitation and statistics of precipitation. When the intermittent time of precipitation is more than 15min, it is recorded as two precipitation observations. When the intermittent time is less than 15min, it is recorded as a precipitation observation. If a precipitation spans 8:00 and 20:00, it should be measured at 8:00 and 20:00. Dsj-2 adopts 24 segment system for flood season observation. In case of failure of self recording rain gauge, the observation data of ordinary rain gauge are used to supplement.
Precipitation observation instruments include SM1 ordinary rain gauge with a diameter of 20cm and dsj-2 siphon type self recording rain gauge. The SM1 type adopts the 8-hour and 20-hour two-stage system for annual observation. It mainly observes the start and end time of precipitation and makes statistics of precipitation. When the intermittent time of precipitation is more than 15 minutes, it is recorded as two precipitation observations before and after the interval, and when the interval time is less than 15 minutes, it is recorded as one precipitation observation. If a precipitation crosses 8 hours and 20 hours, it should be measured at 8 hours and 20 hours. Dsj-2 adopts 24 section system for flood season observation. In case of the failure of the self recording rain gauge, the observation data of the ordinary rain gauge is used for supplement.
The self recording rain gauge is calibrated before the beginning of flood season every year. In the process of observation, when there is an abnormal value in the self recording rain gauge, the observed value of the ordinary rain gauge is used for interpolation. In the process of integration and input of observation data, there are four levels of manual verification, which are tabulation, primary calibration, recalibration and audit, to ensure the data quality.
