The Great Wall Station in Antarctica is the first scientific research station established by China in Antarctica. A perennial scientific research station established by China in Antarctica for scientific exploration of the Antarctic region. It is located on the Fildes Peninsula in the west of King George Island, South Shetland Islands, Antarctica, and faces the Great Wall Bay in Maxwell Bay in the east. The bay is wide and deep, easy to get in and out, backed by the slopes covered with snow all the year round, and has sufficient water resources.
