Based on the evaluation of existing land cover data and evidence theory, this dataset integrates 1:100000 land use data from China in 2000, vegetation type classification from China Vegetation Atlas (1:100000), 1:100000 glacier map from China, 1:100000 swamp wet map from China, and MODIS 2001 land cover product (MOD12Q1). Ultimately, decisions are made based on the principle of maximum trust, resulting in new China's land cover data from the IGBP classification system in 2000.
The new land cover data not only maintains the overall accuracy of China's land use data, but also supplements the information on vegetation types and vegetation seasons in China's vegetation map, updates the wet map of China, and adds the latest information on China's glacier map, making the classification system more universal.
