This data includes the experimental data of grassland interception control and the observation data of maximum water capacity of grassland. The maximum water holding capacity experiment was carried out in 2011, and the main selected vegetation types are Carex, Polygonum viviparum, Plantago asiatica and Potentilla. The maximum water holding capacity experiment was carried out on each type of samples, and the specific data obtained were shown in the document. Canopy interception was carried out in the growing season of 2012, and the experiment was completed by artificial rainfall control. At the end of growing season, the main types of grassland in the watershed were sampled according to grazing and grazing prohibition. In the process of artificial rainfall, the rainfall and throughfall were recorded every 1 min, and the canopy interception was calculated by the difference between rainfall and throughfall.
