This topic is led by the Northwest Institute of Ecological Environment and Resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, in conjunction with the Qinghai Tibet Plateau Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Lanzhou University, the Aerospace Information Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Yunnan University, to produce long-term data on key elements of the cryosphere, such as glaciers, ice lakes, permafrost, snow cover, and deserts.
